This is the most recent project we did at my “Recording And Production” class at BCC! Quite an undertaking! They did great-I am so proud! Starts again on June 3rd. Yay! Doing this song was suggested by Glenn Erb in memory of his close friend John Sturm.

My brother Bill Lloyd sent me this EXCELLENT movie on Emitt Rhodes. It reminds me yet again how lucky I have been. In 1979 I was asked by Ray Paul Klimek to be in the backup band-along with my fellow-VanDeLecki Bryan S in LA at Poptopia–Emitt’s first appearance in 23 years. I recommend you take the hour and sit and watch this really-well done documentary. I’m actually in this…In my mind, Emitt Rhodes is a story of what can happen when a musical genius (McCartney’s league) deals with and accepts his successes and failures in life-and has the balls NOT to kill himself, somehow. Thank the higher powers that Emitt is still here, and still making top-shelf music….for himself. We all benefit.

Finally-I got to record an original tune with my partner-in-crime Christine Martinez!! This girl should be a star! Lovely voice, lovely, a songwriter, and immensely talented, not to mention one Hell of a performer, always owning the listeners with her delivery. More to come….and an iTunes release of this soon!
